How to Use Xilisoft iPod Video Converter

This article will teach you how to put AVI, MPEG, WMV, MOV, RM, RMVB, DivX, ASF, VOB, 3GP, and APE files onto an iPod, and convert popular audio files including WAV, WMA, MP2, AC3, RA, OGG, CDA to iPod MP3, M4A, AAC.

Download, install, and run Xilisoft iPod Video Converter at: iPod Video Converter

Load the file(s): Add video or audio files you would like to convert by clicking the "Add" button in the main interface or choose "Add..." in the "File" menu.

Preview the file in the left preview window. Just click the icon to play it. When the movie is playing, the preview button will be all available. Please Note: This function is only for preview purpose.

Select the target output format: In "Profile" combo-box, you could choose whatever format you want to convert your files to. All the target formats are shown in the dropdown list.

Set output mode: After selecting certain output format, the right panel will show general standard of the format. By clicking certain setting, you may specify it. Or just keep the default settings.

Select the output folder by clicking the "Browse..." button or directly enter a path in "Destination" box.

Begin to convert: Finally, press the "Encode" button. Note: The default setting is all item(s) checked. If you only want to rip certain item(s), check it/them, click "Encode", and then Xilisoft DVD iPod Video Converter will rip them one by one. You would see the info "Completed" in the status column after a successful conversion.

After a moment, you files will be successfully converted to iPod MP4 format. Here is the method to move it to your iPod:

Press the "open" button on the interface to browse the output files.

Find the converted file in the destination folder, then copy or pull it to your iTunes.

Pull the file list under the iTunes to your iPod. Then you will see the file name under "Recently Added" list of your iPod menus.

Warnings

  • For sync problem, you may lower down the video bit rate to have a try. You can also try to solve it by adjusting the frame rate.
