Turn the computer on and have it plugged into your video camera. Get videos thru the import “Video Wizard”. Make a New Folder for your saved files, name it and then Open the Folder.
Select a format from the menu. Format options are as follows: “Audio Video interleaved” are avi files, “Windows media video single file” are wmv files, and “one file per scene” makes wmv files, but divides the video into separate files where it thinks the scenes change. After, click “NEXT”.
Click “import the entire videotape to my computer.” You can also burn DVD. But, if you want only parts, use the controls in windows to capture. By clicking “start video import” to begin copy; “stop video import” when you reach the clip you want. Click finish when done.
