How to Remain Happy With an Obsolete iPod

Got an old 1st generation classic? You were very happy when you bought it, but today, you may be crying your heart out for making that 'dumb' purchase. Never mind, this article will console you.

Know that every iPod is better than the other in some way or the other even if it is not a very great improvement. Take for example, the classic 1st gen. If you have the 10GB one, then you have a lot more memory than the shuffle or some nanos.

Notice that the older iPods have a backlight setting that can be changed right from the starting screen.

If you don't have a shuffle you have a good iPod. If you have a shuffle, you have a really compact iPod.

View the tech specs on apple's website. It's been found that the 4th gen nano had less battery life than the 3rd gen.

Tips

  • Feeling bad will only make you worse.
  • Some accessories only work with older iPods.
  • If you have an old operating system, then the new iPods won't work with it.
  • Try to think of why you liked your iPod.
  • Just because yours is obsolete, don't go out and buy a new one the day it comes out! As with most other products, they may need time to "work out all the bugs!"
  • An the short and fat ipods are proven to have a longer battery life than the brand new ipod nanos. Keep that in mind if you are feeling upset that your fairly new ipod is not the newest version!
  • Remind your self that you parents had to listen to songs off of a record that only could store four songs.

Warnings

  • Don't go bragging about an obsolete iPod. People will laugh at you. However, if someone criticizes your iPod, tell about its good side.

Things You'll Need

  • Old iPod
  • Old Operating System(optional but not recommended)
  • Willpower
