Why pay for a movie when you can get it for free? Thanks to Movies Anywhere, you can claim and download a video for your digital film collection right now at no cost. And getting your freebie flick couldn't be any easier.

Movies Anywhere is celebrating its new partnership with DirecTV by offering users one of five flicks to download for free, in up to 4K resolution. The following films are included, with their current price on Amazon Prime, so you know how good of a deal you're getting:

If you used some of Movies Anywhere's past promotions, you might even have some related movies in your library right now. Specifically, "The Lego Movie," which was available for free a few years ago whenever you connected a digital movie service to your account. And like those previous promotions,

For this new batch of freebies, you don't even need to have a DirecTV account to claim a film. All you need to do is connect one of your existing movie and TV services to Movies Anywhere via the Android, iOS, or web app.

Participating services include Amazon Prime Video, Apple, DirectTV, Fandango Now, Google Play, Microsoft Movies & TV, Verizon Fios, Vudu, Xfinity, and YouTube. If you have movies purchased at one of those digital retailers, chances are you can link that service to Movies Anywhere — and to all of the other services listed above that you also have accounts with.

The current promotion runs from Aug. 17 through Sept. 9, so make sure to take advantage of the deal before then. The bonus movie code needs to be redeemed by 11:59 p.m. PST on Sept. 14.

You'll only get a digital redemption code for your chosen movie if you connect an account for the first time to Movies Anywhere, so if you've already connected all of your accounts, you can't disconnect and reconnect them, so be warned. However, if you have one of the movies in a lower resolution, you can upgrade using the free code for better quality.

If you can't decide which movie you want, team up with a friend! Movies Anywhere sports an excellent sharing feature dubbed "Screen Pass" which allows you to lend movies in your collection with other people. If you pick up "The Matrix," and a friend picks up "Crazy Rich Asians," you can share passes to check out both flicks.
